Usual internet speed, but slow download speed?

I just bought a new computer with a built in 802.11bgn 1T1R Wireless Adapter. Speedtest.net shows my usual speed. But when I download files, the speed is 20 KB/sec.

On my old laptop, it uses the WiFi 5100 agn. Speedtest shows same speed, and when I download files, the speed is over 1.0 MB/s.

Can anyone offer a solution to get my download speed to normal? A different adapter?
DrDave, read my question closely. Old computer, download files at 1.0MB PER SEC. So I download like a 80 mb file in likes minute. New computer, download files at 20 KB PER SEC, so the same 80 mb file takes like 40 mins. And both machines are on the same WiFi network.
DrDave, Then why does it take my my new PC to download a 80 Mb file in about 1 minute and my old PC 40 mins?

Well its the same file from the same website. Even downloading games on steam and origin are slow. Even streaming videos is slow.
I just got it this Monday. It has only 2 games installed, Firefox, steam, origin, and transferred school work/photos/music/etc. Barely anything. My laptop is like 80% full. I bet its just a crappy adapter. I'll just turn it off and buy a different one
Well the Firefox download progress. On old Pc the progress shows the speed (1.0 mb/sec). So I assume i download the 80 Mb file at 1 Mb per second, sometimes faster, so it takes around a minute.
This isn't really a math issue. I see the speed with my own eyes. 80 Mb file finishes in around a minute. New PC same file takes 40 mins.
Im not talking about bits at all. The 80 Mb file downloads at 1 megabyte per second, sometimes faster up to 1.5, I finish it in about 1 minute or so. On my new pc the same file downloads at about 20 kilobytes per second, takes about 40 minutes. So I'm guessing my eyes are just tricking me then. And I'm not arguing, you're the one throwing insults after each edit.
I guess I'll get my eyes checked cause my old laptop isn't downloading a 80 Mb file in about 1 minute, even after redownloading it 5 times just now, and my new PC takes 40 mins for the same file.

I know speedtest doesn't reflect actual download speed, but ping is around 20. DL is usually over 4.5. UL is usually over 1.5. And actually I'm tried. 2:43 a.m. In my area. Post anything else that can further help. Gonna go to bed before I start sleeping in front of my computer
