Usual internet speed, but slow download speed?

Yeah. Learn the difference between megabits, megabytes, kilobits, and kilobytes. An ISP usually defines their speed in megaBITS per second. A download indicator usually gives your speed in kiloBYTES per second. There are 8 bits in a byte. 20 kiloBYTES equals 1.8 megaBITS
EDIT: READ MY ANSWER! You apparently ALSO need to learn the difference in minutes and seconds!!! Have a 4th grader do the math for you! You ARE downloading at 1.8 megabits per second. How many do you suppose you download in a minute duh? What is 1.8 times 60? Let me make it simple for you. Your old pc downloads at 1 megabit per second, your new one downloads at 1.8 megabits per second. Which number is BIGGER?
Edit: LOOK at your speed tests. They're both about the same. That says it all. As far as why one download may be slower than the other, distance from the server, speed of the server, etc all play a roll. If you're downloading a file from bumfudge india, it's damn sure going to take longer then one closer to you.
EDIT: On to step 2 then. How much worthless crap have you cluttered the new PC up with that's also accessing the internet? I'd also like to know how you download at 1 megabit a second and end up downloading an 80 megabyte file in minute. Like I said, learn the math. If you download a file at 1 megabit per second, in one minute, you've downloaded 60 megaBITS. NOT megaBYTES. 60 megaBITS equals 7.5 megaBYTES.
EDIT: Well, you go ahead and waste your money. When you find out nothing has changed, consider learning the math.
EDIT: And your last post points out the very fact that you don't know the difference between megabits and megabytes. I'm tired of trying to explain it to you. Go throw money at the problem til it goes away. I could care less. If you spent more time listening rather than arguing, you might get somewhere. I CAN tell you this much. You are NOT downloading 80 megabytes of file in 60 seconds.
EDIT: Okay mastermind, what do you get on your speed tests?
EDIT: Your speed test is showing you 4.5 megaBITS per second. NOT megaBYTES per second. In order to download 80 megabytes of data even at 4.5 megabits per second (which by the way the server isn't sending it that fast to begin with). it would take 8 seconds to download a megabyte. That means in one minute, you couldn't possibly download more than 7.5 megabytes per minute. An 80 megabyte file would take 80 divided by 7.5 or 10.66 minutes. Now since you're only downloading at 1 megabit per second most likely because the server is only sending it that fast, multiply 10.66 times 4.5. That's 47.97 or rounded off, 48 minutes. END OF STORY. Either you're old pc is NOT downloading the entire file or you're sadly mistaken about downloading 80 megabytes of data in a minute. That my friend IS an impossibility.
