- you can promote your blog at tumblrplug.com
- ask people to check out their blogs, read their faq's
- have a tidy, simple theme
- reblog regularly
- talk to other tumblr users
- post your original posts with hashtags
- participate in others promos/blog of the ____’s/and blog rates/screenie promos
- reblog other's first __ to reblog, first __ to like promo's etc

these are just a few, it might help you out maybe Smile
