When a man suddenly (1) starts being secretive about his whereabouts and having unexplained absences, and (2) also becomes much more concerned with his clothing, grooming, and general appearance, it's a pretty good guess that cheating is on his mind.

It's NOT an issue of "either you trust him or you don't" but a matter of "Is his behavior such as to earn your trust?" Now really, your partner slims down, tans, runs off to a secret resort destination to party, and you're supposed to just TRUST that she/he isn't up to shenanigans? Pul-lease.
