Will it ever be different with my ex girlfriend or any girl?

I broke up with her 4 months ago and have not initiated contact with her since.

She ignored me while I was dating her, made it sound I like I was being to clingy when I was just trying tot do normal things that a boyfriend does with his girlfriend, like spend time alone with her and doing things.

We dated a year and the first 3 months were good, then after that we really started fighting a lot. Like 3 weeks no fighting then we would fight for 3 weeks..

The girl turned her back on me while we were dating so I turned my back on her. She was not there to comfort me when I needed it, but when she needed ANYTHING I was there for her. Her acquananinces meant more to her than I did so I left.

So I broke up with her and told her not to contact me in October. Since she texted me quite a few times telling me she missed me, that she still feels something for me, blah blah blah.

I care about her but I cannot trust her, and don't want to be a part of her life. She is more concerned with facebook posts, profile pictures, how she looks, what her friends are driving, wearing, living. No concern for my work, studies, or overall well being.......I guess I don't block her number because I hope that she comes to a realization of what is important and what matters, but I realize its a slim chance.

I am 26 in a graduate computer science program in south florida, I am meeting new people, but I am scared to get to know a girl again after what she just put me through. It was the first girl I ever really loved who was available for me, and she would go from being available to being unavailable to being available again and I have no trust for anyone anymore
