It is true that Google has a controversial policy of collecting and stockpiling User's data as well as tracking habits and searches. I will place excerpts from various sources below to prove this point: ( Notice--The link that the 1st Quotes are from is here---> http://www.techgainer.com/google-chrome-...-its-true/ Because the Original author used other articles to make his point--I did not remove the links he posted within the quotes/excerpts and I did not want to confuse you as to which link is the Main Source for the quotes.

Google Chrome Browser May be Spying on All of Us! Really it's True?

by rijans on January 15, 2011

..., we also notice the arise of another issue of chrome’s privacy theft. What’s it actually? There’s a rumour is flying that, Google chrome is spyware browser which collects data about it’s activity and other informations and sends them to Google...., people know that this browse is made by Google who this the God of internet. So this God may do something in it’s software to know more about it’s users... many experts tried to monitor on chrome’s activity to confirm whether it’s a spy or not. ...

“An italian blog has recently tested Chrome by using a program called SilkPerformer. During such a test a web address was typed in Chrome. At this point the program started recording a weird activity. A lot of requests were sent through the Internet, from Chrome to this address: http://clients1.google.it/complete/search. Such requests were sent without the user pressing Enter!”

“Chrome has an “incognito mode,” which theoretically preserves your anonymity. But as Consumer Watchdog points out, the mode often switches off automatically without your knowledge. You may think you’re surfing the Web without someone looking over your shoulder, but the reality is considerably different.”

And from a different website :

"Are you a chrome user? If yes, do you know Google Chrome is spying you? Google is well known for that they have records of everything typed into their search engine or links clicked from them and the ip address of its origins,.So them repeating this in Chrome browser really would be no surprise at all. Google is spying your browsing habits to improve their markets / services. They need to know about you to deliver related content and targeted ads.

According to Google, “Google Chrome is a browser that combines a minimal design with sophisticated technology to make the web faster, safer, and easier”.Unfortunately, each Google Chrome installation contains a unique ID to identify its user. Google doesn’t make it an easy job to remove this ID...."

I could go on....Refer to the Source List to verify for yourself that many people/organizations have reached the same conclusion--Google Spies on its Users. I do not know if it is correct to refer to Browser as the Biggest Piece of Spyware ever but the actions of the company make it hard to dispute.

I hope this helped.
