Only on page is not sufficient. Now off page is also very important in seo. After Google updates, off page is based on unique content and quality back links.
Offpage include a lot of activities like directories,bookmarking, articles(do follow with high PR)
Forum posting(do follow)
Blog commenting
Classifieds
Guest blogging
Articles Prism
and remember just one thing seo is a along term process.
