How to set up a "wireless internet environment"?
Hi there! This is the information my university's website gives us:
"High-speed Internet service is provided to each resident by Time Warner's Road Runner service. Wired connections are provided in each room/suite/apartment (you are welcome to create your own wireless environment). Additionally, WiFi connections are available in most residential classrooms, laundry rooms, lobbies, and main lounges. Students provide their own computers, which should be equipped with an Ethernet card in order to connect to the network. Students also must provide an RJ-45 Ethernet cable to connect their computer to the wall jack." I am attending in the fall and trying to make a list of things I am going to need to get. I definitely want to set up a "wireless environment", i just don't have a clue as to how to do it! Obviously I need something with RJ-45 compatibility, but that's all I know. What is it that I actually need to set up the wireless internet using the jack that I will have in my suite? Thanks! Ads |
