Why are people so mean?

So today I watched Kca, it was really fun and more imporant, Ariana grande got voted for 2 categories( favorite actor, Sam and cat), I was so so proud of her cause I'm big Ariana fan, so after finished watching I went twitter then I retweeted and replied saying congrats and stuff, the thing is.... I saw bunch of people calling Ariana slut, ugly and telling her to kill herself, which was super mean, I guess people didn't like that she won over Jenette and others, furthermore they "unfollowed" each other on twitter! but why? that's so childish, and I'm kinda disappointed, bashing others when their favorite don't get voted? Whether she's terrible actor or not(she isn't) she worked incredibly hard to be in the show, so what if others didn't get voted? it's not end of the world, it's just KCA, and you might have chance one day. Till she got voted I was in best mood ever but after what I saw on twitter, I'm all depressed now, and I'm very weak -hearted which makes it worse

Tell me what do you think about this, and any suggestions
