Blog is a journal or online diary where you can publish anything you like. You can use it for publishing your poems, thoughts on events or music or whatever, reviews etc.

To start a blog you need a google account (gmail account) use the email address and password to log in to the http://www.blogger.com and click on create a new blog. After selecting the address and title and theme you will be taken to dashboard where you can select option like New post etc

Eventually you will get page views for people who are navigating from blog to blog or google results (usually google indexes blogs. But new blogs will have low page rank so will not be positioned at 1st or 2nd pages, search about SEO tricks to improve your page rank )
