How to change my Yahoo Answers Avatar?

You need to upload an image file onto your hard drive or SIM card to do this ; These steps take you through the entire process from saving and uploading and image to making i the image your Yahoo avatar.

To save an image; 

1; Display the image 

2. RIGHT click the image 

3. Select the "Save image as" option 

4.When the directory of your device opens, Open the Pictures folder, open any sub folders you might have. 

4, Give image a file name. There should be default file name already in the box, BUT you may want to add additional information to the file name, like the date you saved the image 

5.. LOOK at the "Save a"s box. That is the file name trailer. it indicates the image format type. DO NOT CHOOSE GIF. format. Yahoo has LONG history of having problems with gif format images. Sometimes they work fine, other times they don't. ..jpg and the generic .PNT file formats usually work 

6. Click save 

To change your Yahoo and YA avatar 

1. Go to your Yahoo profile by either clicking the Profile link in Your YA activity profile or clicking your user name to the upper right and selection "Profile" from the drop down menu 

2, Have on your hard drive or SIM card an image in either jpg. or Pnt. , not GIF, image file formats already uploaded and saved ON your hard drive or SIM card. 

3. On your YAHOO profile, hover the cursor over the default avatar until "Change photograph" tab pops up. Click the tab. 

4, Click "Upload" arrow icon underneath you The default avatar or the Facebook icon. 

4. The directory of your device should pop up. Navigate to the pictures folder, Open the Pictures folder 

5. .Open any folders within the pictures folder. 

6. Select the image your want to use as your avatar, Click it so the name of the file 

7. Click "Open" to upload the image as your avatar 

You may need to re-size the images or make the image file smaller smaller, or change the file format of the image. There are free image file format converters online. it's been YEARS since I have used an image format file converter online. The image file is the primary link between your Yahoo profile and your YA activity profile. If you change the image file on your Yahoo profile, it will retroactively change your YA avatar.
