I want to get to know a girl.?

Quick details, there is this girl who went to the same school as me and I found her on Facebook. She accepted my friend request and her and I are so similar. We both love the same type of music and we are both interested in really weird and strange things. We have never talked to each other but I REALLY want to get to know her better. The only problem is since she doesn't really know who I am, I think I would sound kind of like a creep asking her if we should somehow get to know each other a little more. How can I ask without sounding like a freak? What should I do? Lots of details would be great! Thank you!
