Should i add him back on fb? what do i do!?

so i went out with this guy a while back and things were ruined because i was suffering depression and things were bad in the family, he ended up breaking up with me because apparently the huge problems that i was having were too much for HIM to handle.
ever since we split i have been thinking about him every now and again and i wonder if he ever thinks about me.
after we split i was so upset that i deleted him off facebook and msn because it hurt to see him online but never talking to me or wanting anything to do with me.
today, i did a "who are your top fans" thing on facebook and it turned out he views my profile at number 10 even though he isn't my friend on facebook.
i really want this guy to forgive me and see that i have changed so i was going to add him back but im not sure, what should i so? and if i send him a message on fb first what should it say? how can i win him back?
please help!?
