Plug the cable or DSL modem into your computer using the USB cable. Let it install the necessary software. If it asks for a cd with the software, use the software provided with the modem.
On the XP computer, Click on the Start button and Select Control Panel. Double click on Network Connections. Use your mouse's right button and click on the Local Area Connection and select Properties. Click on the Advanced tab at the TOP of the Properties window. You should see the Internet connection sharing option. Follow the prompts in the Wizard.
