It's difficult both mentally and physically. Many joined impulsively without doing their homework, and ended up regretting it wishing they would have went the college route. There are plenty of people that do not regret it and see qualities in themselves that will never fade. That list grows the longer that they're out, maturity and time give you a stronger respect for having served and even more so for Marines. Oh the fleet is the regular Marine corps. (FMF: Fleet Marine Force) not embassy, recruiter, recruit, school, or pentagon, D.C. duty.
