Basically, no follow links are backlinks that lead to your site and are NOT indexed by Google and other search engines.

Meanwhile, DO follow links direct to your site are ones that are indexed by by Google and they actually play a role in SEO.

Remember, backlinks are an important SEO strategy: having links that direct to your website helps in making your SEO campaign a success by giving you a good reputation in the eyes of Google. If you need consultation, you should definitely contact an SEO company, like jointplan.co.uk.

Simply put:

Do follow links - helps your SEO
No follow links - a non-factor
