1. Original content. (Do not duplicate)
2. Keep it up to date. Most blogs do not survive because they will not get updated.
3. Place links to other similar blogs, and place your own blog link on other website's.
4. Place your website in directories like http://www.portalstart.com so that you can be found.
5. If you can advertise on other popular website's. Can sometimes also be free if you place an link on your own blog.
6 Offerr gig that has to do with your website on website's like http://www.giggerr.com (You can even offer ads on your blog there) and get an link from there to your blog.
