Google Chrome opened - taskbar is hidden?

I have found what I believe is a fix for this problem, so far for me it has not re-occurred again.
Just find the chrome.exe executable and right click on it /properties/compatibility tab/check
the box "Run this program in compatibility mode for", then select in the drop down menu,
"windows 7". Click apply/OK.

That should do it, It worked for me anyway.
