Here's the thing, you likely can't convince your dad to do anything. You are 14 years old and you're probably not even thinking of hidden charges you can get from too much data roaming. Yes, you might be able to handle the bill, but if you go over it, it's going to fall to your parents to pay it. Overage charges are rough. Wait until you're at least 16 and you can get a job.
