Questions on Occupy Wall Street movement?
Hi there,
There are a few things about the Occupy Movement I don't understand, and would greatly appreciate some help clarifying. 1. Is the movement targeting more so the financial industry and sector, in terms of the corporate influence on politics, or does this also include non-bank companies like google, apple, chevron, etc.? 2. Does the movement hope to diminish the top 1% of the American economy in terms of their net worth, or is the goal more to decrease the amount of poor, poverty citizens and greatly increase the middle class population. An example is, if somehow the average US Household income could go up to $85,000, from the $50,000 it is now, yet there were still a plentiful amount of billionaires and people with hundreds of millions of dollars in net worth, would the movement be ok with this? dave: http://quickfacts.census.gov/qfd/states/00000.html Check the census, the median income is $53k per year.
