Everyone doing well, can in fact help a country succeed. However, "success" by entitlement or manipulation is usually inefficient, causing an overall loss, not success.
Consider the Women's Educational Equity Act which for decades disadvantaged boys in K-12 education in the U.S. When looking at the just boys vs. girls, in U.S. education, one could conclude girls are succeeding, but when looking at measures over time and internationally, one sees that boys doing worse has not helped the U.S. but rather hurt us. Consider how feminists want to limit males entering STEM fields. It's the same. It will make women appear to be more successful, but limiting people from these fields will only hurt the U.S. overall, not help. It's the same with most gender policies that artificially advantage one group while hurting another. |
