Hello Justin,
I know how it feels when you are seeking for legitimate sites wherein you can also earn just for answering some surveys or referring friends and alike, because I've done the same. I can't say if you can label http://www.rewards1.com/ as a scam, but they seem to have some reputation issues. Have a look at http://verify1st.com/Rewards1.com and you'll have an overview whether you can trust a website or not. This free tool can help you out since they reveal a website's reputation, identity as well as relationships. In addition, here are some information that I think you should look into. Based from http://www.whois.com/whois/rewards1.com: Domain Name: REWARDS1.COM Registrar: GKG.NET, INC. Whois Server: whois.gkg.net Updated Date: 05-Aug-2012 Creation Date: 13-Apr-2002 Expiration Date: 13-Apr-2022 This is actually good because they have existed for a good amount of time and intends to be in the business for long since it'll expire on 2022. On the other hand, its global (Alexa) ranking is not that high yet there are more than thousands of sites linking into the website - http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/rewards1.com. In terms of web safety, it's good to know that both Norton and McAfee say that they have tested the site and it's safe to use, which means that there are no web issues/threats found. Also, the said domain has not been blacklisted yet. Anyway, I also checked into their website and you can see Testimonials and Contact Us pages. These are good signs that there are ways to know and further check into the experiences of the users as well as customer support. I didn't see any contact number but you can get in touch with the administrator through e-mail. Furthermore, they have Excellent ratings in terms of trustworthiness, reliability, privacy, and child safety. You can see more of these mixed feedbacks from MyWOT community. Some more reviews to read on are: http://www.sitejabber.com/reviews/www.rewards1.com . Be reminded though that comments from these people are highly subjective as they were based from their experiences. Bottom line, all these don't necessarily make them scammers. It's up to you to decide how much level of risk are you willing to take. I suggest that if you still have a bit of skepticism, trust your gut. Just to add a suggestion, other legitimate sites that you can try and earn a few bucks: * http://www.surveyscout.com * http://www.surveyhead.com * http://www.focuslinesurveys.com * ww.aipsurveys.com Hope this helps! Tread carefully! Ads |
