My suggestion would be to continue communicating with him at the pace you have been, since it seems to be going really well. Let your feelings develop and strengthen naturally. If he's spending a lot of time and effort talking to you and getting to know you, then chances are he's feeling the same way you are. I'd suggest letting those feelings grow a bit, and when you're both ready to take the next step, go ahead and arrange to meet in a public place somewhere, maybe a restaurant.
If you have a great friendship and great communication online, then it will be even more amazing in person. I met my boyfriend online about 4 years ago. We chatted every day, just as friends, for the first two years but we both knew we were developing feelings. He lives all the way in England, and I live in the US. He flew all the way out here to meet me and we had an amazing time. We've been together ever since. It can be depressing maintaining a long-distance relationship sometimes, but it is definitely a realistic possibility. It's the best relationship I've ever been in, even though we don't get to see each other very often at all. But when we are together, we really appreciate our time together. Definitely don't give up if you think you may have serious feelings for this guy and already have a great friendship with him. It could lead to a really amazing relationship. |
