1.Right Click on the Google Chrome Desktop Shortcut icon and view Properties.
2.Click the “Compatibility†Tab and check, “Run this program in compatibility mode for:†and in the drop down menu select, “Windows XP (Service Pack 2)â€. 3. In the Privlege Level Section, check, “Run this program as an administrator†and then Click apply and then ok. 4. Open Google Chrome using the Desktop Shortcut Icon. A “User Account Control†window will pop up, simply allow access. 5. You will experience a “Windows - Application Error†with the following or similiar message: “The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click OK to terminate the application.†Simply click the OK button. 6. Google Chrome will load but the screen will display, “Aw, Snap! Something went wrong while displaying this webpage. To continue, press Reload or go to another page.†From this point, simply click the TOOLS icon. 7. After you click the TOOLS option, then proceed to click the “Make Google Chrome my default browser†button. After doing so, The text above should appear green with the following message, “The default browser is currently Google Chrome.†8. Close The Window and then Close Google Chrome. 9. Right Click on the Google Chrome Desktop Shortcut icon and view Properties. 10. Click the Compatibility Tab and UNCHECK the “Run this program in compatibility mode for:†option. 11. In the “Privlege Level†section, UNCHECK the “Run this program as an administrator†option. 12. Click “Apply†and then click, “OKâ€. 13. Double The Google Chrome Desktop Shortcut icon and enjoy using Google Chrome. |
