I was wondering the same thing! Because mine did not seem random at all. I found this discussion about the issue. It started as a "6-friend list" discussion, and ends up as a discussion about EVERYTHING around the friends display issues on facebook. Though don't go if you don't have time. I stayed there for hours yesterday. lol! Such a mystery!
