internet speed test says 24mbps but download speeds never exceed 3mbps. Why?

it's because the internet connection is stated in MegaBITS and the download speeds are in MegaBYTES.
There are 8 bits in a byte. One is Mb, the other is MB, that capital B is actually signifying something. - and 24 divided by 8 is 3, 24Mbps = 3MBps Ads |
