I am depressed? Help?

It's not a bad thing at all that you're so emotionally invested in the things you see. But it's probably a sign that therapy may not be a field you should go into. I had a best friend who tried to kill himself a couple years ago. It was the hardest thing I've ever had to go through because I couldn't at all figure out why he wanted to do such a thing. His life seemed so great. But what you and I fail to realize is that depression is a mental disorder. The brain is a very very powerful thing and once you let your negative thoughts take over it's hard to think clearly. People who want to kill themselves are very sick people and it take a strong minded individual to pull them from that. No offense but If you're feeling depressed just from reading about them, you probably wouldn't be much help with fixing them. But what you could do is be a support system for people around you. Make happiness your mission. Focus every day on making everyone you come in contact with happy. You will feel so good about yourself after doing so and you will help people without even realizing it. Stop looking at those depressed teens online. A great deal of them are just being dramatic but most importantly there's not a lot you can do for them. What you can do is be a ray of sunshine for all the people you come in contact with. You may not realize who's hurting and who's not which is why you should treat everyone the best way possible. Spread smiles and love and help people when you can. You can google sadness and find sadness every time. Stop setting yourself up. Stop looking for unhappy people and focus on the bodies you see around you. Just be positive and love life. Others will follow
