I don't know how to get rid of "skip.do" software? It's messing with my computer?
It first appeared while I was using school wifi a day or two after I received a notification saying you are about to download a software or something that may slow down your computer, are you sure you want to do that? but I didn't know if it was real or if something was trying to get in my computer. I have a Norton Security System so I didn't worry about it but now if I open my Google Chrome, which is supposed to have a very cheery image of one of my favorite Japanese cartoon and all of my bookmarks and recent places, "skip.do" pops up instead, and it has really irritating advertisements and is not even visually appealing or helpful. My computer is also running really slow, which has been a problem because I've been working on a research paper that is a very serious graduation requirement. A few minutes ago Norton notified me that I had high CPU usage by "Lrcnta," and when I Googled "Lrcnta" I read that it was a potentially malicious software known as "skip.do". I don't know where it came from or how to get rid of it. Somebody please help me, my computer is very important to me, it was a gift and it's made my life a million times easier concerning my schoolwork and my writing. If you know anything, please tell me.
Thank you!
