Ranking locally is a bit different from normal SEO. In addition to the usual factors, some things to look at include:

- Claiming local listings at Google, Yahoo, MSN, and online yellow pages/directories
- Garnering as many citations (business name/address listings) as possible
- Gathering a large number of reviews, with a bonus of they are positive
- Optimization of the local listing for the category you are targeting
- Presence of address/phone number throughout your website
- Consistent address/phone information cited throughout the web
- Physical location of business
