Incognito mode allows you to browse without any cookies, temporary internet files, or browsing history saved in Google Chrome. Google promotes it as useful for those instances you want to plan a secret trip for your spouse or make a surprise purchase without them known. However, it has obvious less than moral actions it will cover for as well.
"For times when you want to browse in stealth mode, for example, to plan surprises like gifts or birthdays, Google Chrome offers the incognito browsing mode. Here's how the incognito mode works: Webpages that you open and files downloaded while you are incognito aren't recorded in your browsing and download histories. All new cookies are deleted after you close all incognito windows that you've opened." However, though it doesn't save it in the browsing history, the web pages you've visited can be viewed on the Google Web Browsing History from your Personal Google Web Page. But that's a different topic. |
