Is this an interesting plot for a YA novel?

Think bold - no publisher is interested in a single YA novel - they want a series. So imagine your superhero boy with a "pretend superhero" girlfriend as a basis for a series of adventures. Delaney and Grant are your main characters - all the rest of your folks are back-story. You will add more characters in the rest of your series including parents/relatives etc. The key secret of your YA series is that Delaney has to hide her lack of superhuman powers from Grant so the relationship can continue.

How does she do this? Well one idea is that Delaney Fox is way more intelligent than Grant and uses her brains to convince Grant that her "super-human" actions are the result of hidden powers and not just because she's smarter than him.
