Listen. To play the game, no you don't need internet connection.

Yes you do need to register the game to make sure you have a legal copy.


If your desktop does not have internet connection then you can't register the game. If you can't register the game, you can't play it on that desktop.


If your laptop has internetonnection, install and register the game. then play. You can disconnect the internet and play the game. As long as you have the cd in the drive, you could be in a subway playing the sims 3 on that laptop.


YOU NEED INTERNET CONNECTION TO REGISTER THE GAME. Simple.
