Does Sim 3 need internet connection? (please help)?

Try going into My computer, and double click on the Sims 3 icon that should be where you dvd/cd drive is. That should start the autorun and then you should be able to press play and play it. 1 more thing, if you computer is slow because of the internet, then it has viruses/spyware. Clean it up and it should be fine. Internet connection does not affect the performance of a computer.
