Problems with signing up for Tumblr?

I've been trying to sign up for Tumblr for a couple days now, but w/e I try I get "There was a problem logging in, try again later." After the first several times I got this I waited a full 12 hours then tried again, and I still got it! Then I tried on my phone and sure enough I get the similar "Incorrect Email Address or Password. Please try again." - And I'm not even signing in, I'm using the Sign-Up. I've double checked and I'm definitely using an active G-Mail account which has not been used for a Tumblr account and I'm entering the correct Email URL, no errors. The password also exceeds the password requirements. What is the problem here?!
