My bestfriend and I both like the same guy for a year now what do I do?

He does stuff to both me and her that make us think he likes us but then whenever we talk about him she says stuff to me like "I liked him first" or "He knew me before you" and because were bestfriends our friends are the same and they all say I suit with him and that he likes me because he always comes and sits with me and because he will always reply back to my messages and not hers but then she started getting angry so I told her she could talk to him on mine because he wouldnt reply to her and she did and she made things so awkward between me and him and she doesnt even care anymore because she knows that they are starting to talk now and when she went on my fb account she said stuff like "you suit _ _ _ _ _ _" or "you and _ _ _ _ _ _ would make such a good couple" and when she finished messaging him I ended up blocking him because things were awkward and now all she does is make nick names of him and her and always try and compete and see who gets his attention.....anyways I told my friends I will stop liking him because it will ruin our friendship but its too hard I just cant stop like that what do I do guys please help
