In the most simple term, Browsers display HTML Coding.
Each Web Page is designed with HTML Tags that describe to a browser how the page should be displayed for example, size of text, colour of page and text, location of images, size and position of image on page.
Browsers also read script tags in order to perform actions, these can be for example Jave Scrips, VB Scripts etc.

Note: Web Browsers do not 'Locate' websites. Your PC does that, the browser only interprets the page.
It really isn't for me to do your homework for you, but that is the basics of what browsers do.
