Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) Tools | Search Engine Marketing?

SEOers by the very definition of the nature of their work, try specifically to rank highly at the search engines, for keywords related to the business of their customers.
How do they do that - by trying to meet the requirements of the Search Engines' algorithms.

In the good old days, it was fairly easy to reverse engineer the algorithms. its now amazingly complex. So SEOers actually make educated guesses about what the algos require in order to rank highly. If anyone ever gives you the impression that he/she knows exactly what the SE's want, don't be fooled. Algorithms are improved and become more complex by the day. As the months fly by, the job of algorithm chasing becomes harder & harder.....with lower & lower yield.

The SEOers never ending chase of the ever evolving algorithms is doomed. Whenever a major search engine changes its algorithms, SEOers cry foul! how unfair! they chorus!

What the Search engines actually seek are "Relevancy" and "Quality" and their algorithms are getting better & better! There are much better ways than to try and superficially or artificially meet the algorithms, or worse, try to beat the algorithms.
