If you have 64 bit OS, you might want to try Cyberfox (a Firefox variant), it's updated faster than Waterfox (another 64 bit alt).

Other browsers that you might want to try: Iron (Chrome variant), Maxthon (with Webkit/Chrome and Trident/IE engine) or Sleipnir (Blink/Chrome engine).

But from my experience, Cyberfox takes up less memory than its "Chrome family" counterparts.
