Can you stream video games installed on a server through a browser over the internet?
Is it possible to...
- Install a game like Planetside 2 on a dedicated server. - Compress the Planetside 2 so that the quality is bearable but decreases the bandwidth required to stream the game. - Post a link giving multiple people access to stream Planetside 2 over the internet so the players could play through their browser without installing anything. - The dedicated server does all the computing and the players can pretty much play the game on any device with an internet connection. I understand the current bandwidth of the average user won't be able to handle such a thing but theoretically is the possible? - How much bandwidth would this require per person? - Would you have to install a new version of Planetside 2 for each player on the dedicated server. Is there a way to enable all the players to play a single installed game and have that game output multiple independent streams of video for each player. Ads |
