Can I refuse a tilt table test?
They suspect I have pots (resting heart rate between 95-130 and it jumps to 130-180 when standing) however I have extreme anxiety and panic attacks and I can 100% not do the test. My main fear about the test is throwing up which is what my anxiety and panic attacks are from (phobia of being sick emetophobia) so can I refuse this test?? Will they treat me for my symptoms without the test?? I've been wanting to take xanax for a year or so because of my panic attacks but have been trying everything else under the sun first as I don't know if I like the risk of addiction. Do you think they would let me take the xanax now to treat my anxiety and high heart rate?? What about beta blockers?? Please no one try and talk me into the test I'm just wondering what will happen after I refuse it??
thanks stephanie i have checked out the website and i saw my doctor today and she is gonna prescribe me and anti emetic for the test and a xanax for after it (: and mildred my concern isnt a bp drop its a heart rate increase. and i am an adult (: Ads |
