That ship has sailed! He's a stranger and isn't even going to be at your school anymore, probably not even in your town anymore. Let him go, don't bother with him. It's not your fault, that was just how circumstances are.

Your best bet would be to take advantage of the upcoming summer: learn something new (first aid? a new language?), contemplate what you'll do after HS, join a club, take up yoga or pilates or hiking. Become a CIT (counselor in training) at a day or summer camp! Just get out there and enjoy yourself.
