needy Capricorn guy? Advice?

I started speaking to a Capricorn man, at first I really liked him, loved the chemistry between us, even though it was only via Facebook and texting. He seemed quite easy to get along with, but then he started becoming a bit too needy with me. Constantly messaging, getting offended if I don't message back instantly, checks to see when I've been online, starts telling me that I have had an impact on him and that he can't get me off his mind, that he's no longer interested in any other women and complimenting me every minute.
It's just too much for me, the weird thing is, is my last experience with a Capricorn man was the total opposite, he would blow hot and cold with me, seemed to have no emotions, didn't really have any respect for me, would of been more likely to of put me down rather than pay me a compliment unless he was getting sex from me at the exact minute.

I'm Aquarius and both of these ways are a turn off to me, but I actually really like this Capricorn if it wasn't for him being so needy like this, if we had met eachother then it would be a lot different, but the fact he is coming on so strong when we haven't met in person yet, is what is making me put meeting him on hold.

Anyone got any experience with needy capricorns and how to tell them they are coming on too strong and creeping me out a little without me hurting their feelings?
