Someone is pretending to be me on the Internet, should I change my real name?

Hello

Maybe the employers will search, for your name on the Internet. They should make sure you are who you say you are online. You can prove who you are online, so it looks bad on the other people who used your name. Please don't think your online reputation is ruined. You can prove who you are, and the employers can see what you do, and maybe they will see those fake people as well.

Don't change your name. It might be possible, for someone to pretend they are you do to the fact maybe someone can look similar as you, but they are not you. Government Identification cards are used to determine who is who in my country. In my country a sin card is used, and a photo ID like a drivers licence, or passport is used to dertime who is who. We also have birth certificates, so this makes it harder, for someone to steal another person's ID.

What would you have done if you were me? If the bullies want to fight online, then they will receive a fight. I can prove who I am. if I discover someone was pretending to be me then it might not last long. It looks very bad on the fake person if I, or someone else can prove the fake person is pretending to be me. There is only one of me, and there is only one of you.

There actions might be a crime. You should speak with a lawyer, and find out what you can do.
