No text asking out and you should get to know this girl first before you even start asking her out. It's like a random person telling you that you're pretty. It is plain weird. Get to know her and if you still like her then ask her out. Don't do it out of the blue. But if you want to do it quickly then start a small convo with her then maybe ask if she wants to go out. Make it friendly at first like a move or something then maybe you can take her out on an actual date if she is game. Remember don't make her feel uncomfortable or this relationship will not work out.
