How does facebook do it?
Ok, recently, i've watched a video in which one facebook developer says "We end up saveing 40.000.000.000 pictures a month.
If you calculate that, you get a number of 38.146 TERABYTES paer moth that are stored on facebook, and not including other data such as wall posts, likes, videos, questions, apps etc. etc. And, it is estimated that facebook have nearly 60.000 servers that handle all that.

So, wtf??? Nobody can't tell me that 60.000 servers can handle 38.146 terabytes, just images, to store them...

Am I missing something here? Is technology really available to an average user like you, and me, or there are some super fast hard drives with unlimited, or if not unlimited then with some extra large storage space like 100 terabytes per disc drive, because, we are talking about 40.000.000.000 images PER MONTH, not in total, so, that is nearly 480.000.000.000 images per yer, witch is an average of 457.763 TERABYTES per year...
