Everybody has anxieties about something, so you are definitely NOT alone. I've had anxiety / panic attacks several times. I avoid enclosed shopping malls at busy times when I'm alone. I'm fine if I have a friend with me , even when we become separated. I still have momentary anxiety when my last grade in an online class shows up as F, even though I understand it is very likely is a "default F" and not the grade the teacher gave me, because the teacher has NOT graded the last thing I submitted, yet.
You are NOT alone. I've learned that when I THINK I've made mistake, like being in the wrong degree program, there usually is a pretty good reason why I made the mistake ( I didn't do enough research before making a commitment) , but I follow through anyway. I'm just glad and happy to be back in school. One of the rewards of being middle aged is an increase in self-confidence. Hang in there. Get professional help if you need it. My mother was a worrier. Since I did NOT die 4 years ago, I'm grateful for every day I can roll out of bed and just walk without my knees or ankles collapsing, even if and when I want to ***** about my arthritis. It's my fault if i stayed in bed too long. |
