Is it possible to use the broadband (landline/wired) internet connection through tablets? If yes, how?

Yes you can..
1) Make sure your tablets supports lan port on its specification you can find it.. is yes, then go and buy a usb to Ethernet cable cost you around $1-2 and connect you LAN at Ethernet side and usb to your tablet.
2) Recommended solution.. go and buy a wifi router cost your around $15-20 and make a wifi connection.. and enjoy internet any where in your home... even in bathroom...
