My dial up internet connection disconnect after some time automatically...?

It could be poor line quality, but it's probably your computer. If it disconnects even while you surf (ie while changing web pages) then it's probably the line quality or a problem. If it disconnects itself after a while then it's your PC.

You computer (assuming Windows XP) is set up to automatically disconnect after a certain time of inactivity. It's rare that your internet is ever idle that long these days due to things like MSN, Windows Update, AntiVirus updates etc, but it does happen. By default Windows disconnects after 20 min of non-use.

To change this, go to START > My Computer. Click Control Panel on the left. Go to Network Connections (you might need to hit "Switch to Classic View" fist, if you get a blue background on the screen instead of white). Right click your internet connection and pick Properties. Go to the Options tab. Change the "Idle Time before hanging up" number to what you want.

Note, some internet providers use speciality software to govern dialing in. If so,. call them for help.
