How do you think they could have hacked it before? Stupid idea. These idiots who threaten you would need you to follow a link they sent you to infect your machine with spyware, or you would need to be using a poor password or security questions and answers. They would then need to take note of all the things you tell the whole world and which in turn let them guess your password. If your use a sensible password of 8 or more characters, mixing upper case and lower case letters, and with numbers, and make it totally unrelated to your, friends, family, pets, cars locations and phone numbers it would take someone with a brain, most of these people do not have one, and with serious computer skills weeks to try all the possible combinations. The system notices such attacks and would block them. Apply the same rules to your security questions and make the answers garbage, but keep a note of them for your own use and there is no way they will ever gain access. What you should have done is saved all evidence of the threats, reported them to Facebook, and then scanned your machine for spyware, then made sure your password and security questions were secure. They can get serious prison time AND a permanent criminal record for threatening to hack.
