Are smart phones good for anything but games and twitter?

They basically keep you connect with what's happening with the rest of the world. They are there for entertainment and also for enjoyment. You can use them to connect with ppl like calling msging like bbm etc. But the thing with smartphones is that they do everything a normal phone would but they have a 'smart' way of doing it. Smartphones today are also more convinent for example some phones won't allow the screen to switch off while you are looking at the screen and some phones pauses data traffic when your phones screen is off to save mobile data and battery life.
